Consider the concept of IDSs and your own experiences with health care. What do you think the benefits of IDSs are, and how does that reflect your own experiences with the healthcare system?

In the introduction to this section, you were asked to consider additional barriers to health care that you have experienced or can imagine. Provide two additional barriers to healthcare access you can think of and how they might impact care.

Reflect on the eight main principles of culturally competent care. Which of these principles do you think will be the most difficult for you to integrate into your care and why?
4 .
Consider working four shifts in a row and being given a very difficult and demanding patient each of those shifts. On the fourth shift, your charge nurse offers to give you a different patient than your demanding one. Do you accept the offer? Why or why not?
