This chapter has presented the pharmacological management of selected skin conditions: acne, psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, contact dermatitis, impetigo, rosacea, and burns. A brief introduction to each condition, specific drug treatments, routes, dosages, adverse effects, nursing interventions, and client teaching have been discussed. Additionally, a special focus on disparities in the diagnosis and treatment of skin conditions and the psychological implications of skin disorders has been included.
