For this research study, only lessons using Algebra 1 can be included.
You may use EduStax for other subjects, but those lessons cannot be included in this semester's research. If you need additional books added to this page, please email k12@openstax.org.

EduStax Research Participation: Required Tasks
Thank you for taking part in this research. As a reminder, you will be compensated for your participation. Please complete the following items as soon as possible. All 4 tasks are required for participation in this project. Please reach out if you have any questions about the participation requirements.
participation-requirements center 100%1. Distribute the Guardian Consent Form
Email parents the link to the consent form to notify them that research is happening in their child's classroom. You do not need to collect a response.
If a parent objects, the form tells them how to contact our team to remove their student's data. You can forward any requests you recieve from parents to k12@openstax.org.

Email students the consent form to notify them that research is happening in their classroom. You do not need to collect a response.
If a student opts out, they can still complete all activities and lessons. Simply email me to omit their data from our analysis.

Keep the lesson PDFs you create. You will need to submit them (in the survey linked in step 4) to be eligible for compensation in this study.

Use this survey to submit the EduStax lessons you have taught, along with your feedback. Whenever possible, submit your feedback and lesson plan the same day you teach them.

Distribute the questionnaire as soon as possible. This will help us understand whether EduStax lessons improve students' motivation to learn math throughout the school year.

Save examples of written student work from your EduStax lessons to submit at the end of semester. These examples will help us build automatic worksheet grading. All worksheets will be anonymized before being analyzed.
